50049 Defiance and 50031 are seen storming past Cockwood harbour on a lovely summers evening with a return charter.
During preservation a number of class 50's have operated on the mainline, to date these have been 50017 Royal Oak, 50031 Hood, 50044 Exeter, 50049 Defiance, and 50050 Fearless. In the near future we should be bale to see others such as 50008 Thunderer and 50026 Indomitabe make a welcome return. The attached few pages show a sample of the workings these locos have undertaken, which have included both normal service trains and charters.
