Work has been progressing well on the rear bulkhead of No1 cab. Everything except the white and blue pipes are identical replacements recovered from class 37's and 56's.

Fire bell, AWS bell, brake indicator box and ceiling vent similarly all replacements.

| The fault indicators have received replacement covers ex Cl 56 with idents from various sources. |

The panel behind the handbrake wheel is replacement as are the surrounding trims. Fan room door handle assembly ex Cl 37.

Even things like the fire pull mountings were missing and have had to be replaced. The replacement refurbished item is seen above courtesy of 37221.

All missing door handles throughout Repulse are now replaced with identical ex Cl 37 items.

This picture shows No2 cab, which although some work has been undertaken replacing missing components, no restoration work has been undertaken. As such the above view give a general idea of the condition that No 1 cab was in.

Some components and pipes had been temporarily refitted to the brake frame, however, these have now all been removed in preparation for the exhauster being lifted out. Which should happen in April 2010. |
