I am a long time RRRG member dating back to 2002. I spend nearly every weekend on site at Peak Rail doing practical restoration work and the RRRG mess coach is affectionately known as my "country cottage" to other RRRG members! I originally stood for election to the Committee as Bodywork Officer, because it was important we continued to tidy up the bodywork of the RRRG locomotives and make their cabs and engine rooms weather-proof. Once this task was completed my role changed to be one of Site Manager and Volunteer Coordinator because I am on site so often that I can help to decide work schedules and allocate tasks to other working members as they arrive on site. I help to train and supervise other workers to ensure good quality restoration is carried out.
